Cuba
One of the most fascinating trips I made was the one to Cuba in 2010. Aside from that incredible nature I fell completely in love with the people. I have never met such a happy and easy going people who live everyday with joy and dignity through economic hardships. People who have maintained their values despite the difficult circumstances in which they live. One thing I learned on this trip is that happiness is something that comes from inside. Happiness is not something that you can buy or a job you have or the house you live in.
I wonder how much this old man had to say. What was his story?
He couldn’t speak english but he spoke to me through his eyes. I wonder how much he has gone through in life. Though many years have passed since then, I am still thinking about him to this day.
Something that really caught my attention was that wherever you went there was music and joy, In every corner you could see a group playing guitar and singing,
My most favorite city was Trinidad which is also called the pearl of Cuba. A city that still maintained its old ways which really touched my heart.
